OOTD 12-06-2012

Todays blogpost is an outfit of the day. This is the outfit I wore yesterday, Thursday. It was also the first day of snow!

I wore my army colored green jacket from Abercrombie & Fitch. Beneath the jacket I wore a plain short sleeved black t-shirt with a plain cami underneath that for extra warmth as it was cold outside! For jeans I wore my dark wash Hollister Super Skinny jeans. For shoes I wore my new ankle boots that I got for Sinterklaas. I will be writing a blogpost about Sinterklaas and the presents I got soon.

I wore my hair loose with the front strands tucked behind my ears. I also wore a brown infinity scarf.

For make-up I kept it simple. On my eyes I wore the colors Virgin, Naked and Buck from Urban Decay's original Naked palette. And cocoa Puff from Too Faced Cosmetics natural eye palette. I use Virgin as an everyday brow bone and inner corner highlighter. Naked all over the eyelid and Buck and Cocoa Puff blended into the crease. I curled my lashes and first applied a coat of Bennefit They're Real mascara and then a coat of Max Factor's Masterpiece Max Mascara. On my lips I wore a lip liner in the color 07 Cute Pink by essence.

These are the shoes I wore. Maybe not the best shoes to wear when it is snowing outside but they are just so cute! And they fit perfectly with the outfit! I did wear them before taking the pictures so they may look a bit dirty. They are by the brand Vagabond Link to the website. The shoes have a heal but because they are not too high they are very easy to walk in.

I really like this outfit. It is cute but still simple and easy. To end the blogpost I will leave you with a picture of the snow :)

Benefit They're Real! Mascara

I went shopping the other day and decided to pick up the Benefit They're Real! Mascara and try it out.

I love the packaging! It's sleek but it catches your attention. Inside is an instruction leaflet. The box is a bit hard to open, you have to be very careful not to rip the top.

The mascara itself is in a silver/metallic tube. It feels and looks a bit like metal but I think it's plastic. I again like the packaging, it's sleek but not boring.

The wand had a nice grip and is easy to apply. The brush itself is not a standard brush. The main/middle part is a bit rounder than some other mascaras, Maybelline Pulse Perfection for instance, has a much sleeker brush. The end of the brush is not squared off but has a little ball on it. This makes applying the mascara onto the corner lashes a lot easier. The brush is plastic.

This is the result. The quality of the picture is not perfect but you can definitely tell a difference! On my right eye (your left) I am wearing the Benefit They're Real Mascara and on the other eye I am not wearing any       mascara.

My conclusion: I really like this mascara! It gives my lashes great volume and length. The brush is nice to work with and the rounded end definitely helps to apply the mascara to my corner lashes. The only down side of this product is that I do not like to use it on my bottom lashes. I think the brush is a bit to big for those lashes.
